10 reasons we loved Feeric Fashion Festival
Like every summer, with dozens of colours, tons of young & fresh talents and hundreds of gorgeous outfits brought here from all over the world, Sibiu reinvented itself as the fashion capital in 2018. At Feeric Fashion Festival .
And, as every summer, we have discovered, at Sibiu, those particular intriguing details that make an outfit to come out of the crowd, those layerings that reveals the work of the amazing young designers, that vibe that makes everybody in town to breath and live through the eyes of fashion. Those designers worth following of Instagram (and not just for the days of the festival) and these trends just perfect to be integrated in our Fall wardrobe for worldwide Fashion Month. Here are my 10 choices from Feeric Fashion festival (actually, there are 15, if I count, one by one, those 6 talented designers from Feeric33 competition).
Architecture in Fashion – presented as “the first and only worldwide platform which exclusively showcases and sells architectural wearables”.
Bianca Popp – one of my favourites – READ an interview with the designer, here.
Cat + King – the New York based designers have presented “Eroina” collection – inspired by the dark romantic literary era of the 18th century. www.catandking.com
Charles & Ron – were one of the few designers that were selected to exhibit one of their couture designs at Buckingham Palace for the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange in the beginning of this year, an exhibition curated by Vogue’s Hamish Bowles. – https://charlesandron.com
Jennifer Nunez – “Dis-obedient collection is the result of a creative process that I started in London, during the time that I spend in Central Saint Martins School”, said the designer.
Modement – a brand from Hong King – “I am who I am” is the message. A strong one, perfect for nowadays. – http://modement.hk
Mondovi – from Thailand came the dreams. It is true? Look at the “Le Reve” collection.
Reprobable – is a young Romanian brand, “with a Parisian soul”. I liked the innovative cuts and the freshness of the entire collection. – https://www.reprobable.fr
The Secret Code of Fashion – probably the most colourful and fun collection, presented in a skate park.
Feeric33 – it was the most important competition for young designers. My favourites were: Ionuț Piscureanu (see his BA collection and READ the interview here), Karina Kocemba (amazing architectural pieces), Smaranda Buc (talking with the designer – READ here), Eva Lili Barth (fell in love with the prints), Alexandru Manuel Pop (beautiful clothes seen at UAD Fashion Gala in Cluj – READ the interview and see more of his fantastic designs here), Tara Ialic and the out of the world white hands keeping the clothes alive…
