That thing cool enough to be trendy, but smart enough to be sustainable, as well. This year, I have decided that I will only buy gifts that tell a story. If possible, one inspired by nature. Therefore, I have choose 5 designers I want to visit at Christmas Concept fair.
Atelier no8. I love plants (even I am bad in keeping them alive). And I think that a beautiful terrarium made by Atelier no8 could be the ideal gift for Christmas and, at the same time, an inspired decoration for a wide-sunny white bedroom. Oxygen and fun! You could choose the plants and the shape of the vessel. (Instagram – @atelier.no8)
Ceramic Sparrow. The beautiful porcelain pieces painted by hand are not only gorgeous designer pieces, but also they have an utilitarian purpose.Toothbrush or soap support? Jewellery box? A magic Christmas ball? They are all here, inspired by nature, artistic movements in early twentieth century or architecture and they came in limited series. (Instagram – @ceramicsparrow)
GI Jewellery Izabela Groza. Presented at some international jewellery exhibitions, the pieces signed by Izabela Groza are reminding me of nature. Delicate leafs, snowflakes or feathers – you can see whatever you want in them. For sure, that is a present that somebody coulnd not easily forget. (Instagram – @gijewellery)
Mădălina Andronic. I love her drawings since… forever. I still think a book with her illustrations could be my precious gift in the Christmas Eve. And I still remember the smile I had when I have first entered her studio a couple of years ago. You could find her stand and let yourself captured by the magic of the stories put on T-shirts, hoodies, porcelain pieces, notebooks or posters. (Instagram – @madalina_andronic)
Luna Morgaciova. Wearable Art via Street museum – that is the motto of the brand. And I think that’s fantastic to move (even just for a while) art from the walls to the street. And the designer of Luna Morgaciova brand manages to do that. I think I may put the white red & white oversized blouse on my personal whist list. (Instagram – @luna_morgaciova)
