Feeric Fashion Week 2024: my list of favourites
It was the 16th edition. It was with more than 100 young designers from all over the world. There were nice collections, strong messages and, as usual, very cool locations for the runways. Feeric Fashion Week 2024: my list of favourites has on it…

1. The workshops before the shows
The first two days of this year’s edition were dedicated to the theoretical part in fashion, through a series of international workshops supported by authorities in the field such as Giovanni Otonello, from IED, from Italy, Donald Gjoka, expert in the use of artificial intelligence, Sara Maino from Italy or professors from the University of Westminster. Plus: young designers had the opportunity to get in touch with the financial and sales aspects of the products on the market through Roxana Băiaș, from NEPI Rockcastle.
2. The special locations, as usual at Feeric 🙂
First, we saw a catwalk in a bunker with war sounds in the background – the Ukrainian designers collection from Ukrainian Fashion Education Group. Then, the collection Hooldra & the collections of the students from MDVTM 2024 were presented at the Belvedere Pumptruck piste (READ here about the collections and fashion gala of this year). Amazing!

I liked a lot another venue – Brukenthal Museum – where I saw, in the first day of Feeric, Dualitae & Vicko Racetin shows – a big bravo for both of them!

Sibiu airport was, as usual, an attraction point: on the luggage belt, the beautiful collections from UAD Fashion Cluj Napoca (Read here about the students collections presented in Cluj this year).
Venom Karting was a spectacular venue, where 3 collections (two from Lithuanian designers and one from Moldavia) were presented.

Boromir factory hosted also a couple of interesting collections (two of them from Technical University of Moldova and one from Croatia).

And, of course, Cinegold & Promenada Sibiu venues, perfect for the fashion shows. For Synergia collection by Raluca Elena Cînean, the basement of the mall was transformed into a green garden very nice!

For the Gala Feeric – in Sibiu square – were presented collections of students from Faculty of Applied Arts Belgrade, Serbia, ai IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, International Design Academy, Jabalpur, India, UNARte București (READ here about this year collections from the University) , also three other designers (two from Romania, one from Greece).

3. The designers on my list of favourites.
Well, first if all, I have to say that I was very very happy to see, again, the creations of young designers from Romanian universities – UAD Fahion, MDVTM Timișoara, UNArte București, Aurel Vlaicu Arad and George Enescu – Iași (the last two I want to see more active on fashion field). Here, on the blog, you can find a full review of the first three alumni fashion runway, also an interview with Ana Farîma (from Arad).
Secondly, I like just to point the collections and designers that drew my attention (and I hope to see them again, to talk even more) – Dimitar Avramov (University National Academy of Arts, Sofia) // Laurenția Coban (from Music Theatre and Arts Academy, Chisinau, Moldavia) /with the collection “house shadows” // Kinga Palider (Croatia) with the collection “Le Mans” // Xh. M (University of Arts in Tirana, Albania) with the collection “The brides” // Francesko Berati (University of Arts in Tirana, Albania) with the collection “Roots”.
