7 new international designers to watch

I love to discover new talents – especially when they just launch the spring/summer collections. This season, I put my eyes on 7 young international designers and I am pretty sure that I will find them, soon enough, on big catwalks of the world.

Dawei  – a graduate of the L’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, Dawei quickly joined the studios of major fashion houses with Balenciaga and John Galliano. In 2010, he and his friend launched the ready-to-wear brand Belle Ninon (the creative duo was then hired as artistic director of the Cacharel house). In 2016, he created his eponymous brand Dawei. In 2019 Dawei entered the official fashion calendar and was nominated as one of the finalists for the Andam Fashion Award. 
@dawei_studio offers a wardrobe for women who want to express their personality, with a contemporary luxury silhouette that can be worn at any age.

NewSpeak Studio – was founded in 2023 by Stef Reijnierse and Veronica Perjan and it is based in Hague, Netherlands. 
@newspeakstudio are a research-driven menswear brand. Their aim is to create pieces that elevate clothing from convenience-based leisure pieces to something that carries a sense of elegance, emotion and formality. They fuse pattern and construction techniques from other times and cultures with the archetypal details that can be found within western tailoring and workwear garments from the 1870s onwards.

Louise Misha – the brand was founded in Paris in 2012, inspired by the imagination of Marie Pidancet, who dreamed of bringing poetry to her nieces’ wardrobes. Ever since its creation, the designer brand has been inspired by the bohemian spirit of its founder: a vision inherited from her poet grandfather and her infinitely free, itinerant artist grandmother, the famous “Louise”, our first bohemian muse. 
@louisemisha – each collection invites on a journey through time and around the world. Cheerful, floral prints (particularly of Indian inspiration), attention to details, a curated craftmanship and a sustainable approach – these are the main features for the brand.

Occhii – is a luxury fashion brand based in New York City, founded in 2018. The name is inspired by the word for “eyes” in several languages (Italian – occhi; in Romanian – ochi; in Polish – oczy; in Slovenian -‘oči). The one’s ability to “see beyond”—is core to the brand ethos. 
@occhiinyc the brand tells the story through contrasts, materials, and construction. Each piece fits into an universe full of mysterious spies, famous musicians, glamorous housewives, warehouse ravers, and our mothers and grandmothers. They design wearable clothes, with fabrics such as luxurious artisan silks or antique kimono scraps and techniques such as patchworking or hand-dyeing.

Sewmod – founder and designer Wu QiuXiong’s brand for men and women combines a level of creativity, artisanal savoir faire and one-of-a- kind execution that could only come from China. In its debut season for Fall/Winter ‘25/26 and presented for the first time in Florence at Pitti Uomo 107, Sewmod is the fruit of eight years preparation by QiuXiong to develop the brand’s unique construction based on ancestral techniques, a dedicated team of specialized artisans to produce each piece by hand and a minimalist aesthetic for pieces that flow fluently between western tailoring and Chinese dress. Sewmod, the name combines the Cantonese word “Xiu” (embroidery) with “Mo” (ink) – craftsmanship and design simplicity, inspired by China’s ancient art of calligraphy

NA ERUQO – launched in 2022 by Paris-based Korean designer Kvsh Yewon, the brand is a progressive womenswear line exploring different facets of female identity through the prism of biology, handicraft and technology. Kvsh Yewon reframes the act of designing within a conceptual field, which involves science, literature, history and technology. approaching female creativity as a prolific and open-ended field. 
@naeruqo “ Bird to Fly” collection explores the complexities of identity and presents a fresh perspective that goes beyond social conflicts. 

NA ERUQO

Sagio – is an aspiring Budapest-based premium clothing brand, characterized by lightness and layering, mystery and graphic, conciseness and context. The designer Alexander Sagio has been on an endless journey across the bridge between east and west throughout his career.
@sagio_officialthe collections have a daring blend of sharp tailoring, sensuality, and intellectual playfulness, offering a powerful tribute to gender fluidity, craftsmanship, and timeless allure.
