TAG Heuer & F1

Breaking News: TAG Heuer will be partnering with F1 ACADEMY™ in 2025 as an Official Partner and the series’ Official Timekeeper. The F1 ACADEMY™ is the series that empowers the next generation of female driving talent.

The new models: the watchmaker has started the 2025 with a blast: at  LVMH Watch Week 2025 the brand launched 5 different model watches for F1 plus an announcement that, as Formula 1 marks its 75th anniversary, TAG Heuer is set to rejoin the sport as its Official Timekeeper. This milestone in 2025 rekindles a storied partnership that spans over seven decades, reflecting a shared legacy of luxury, precision, innovation, performance, and speed. More on https://www.tagheuer.com

The models: Formula 1 Chronograph collection kicks off the brand’s 2025 lineup with five new models (four regular production chronographs and one special edition TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Oracle Red Bull Racing). Thick tapered shoulders, a rubber strap, racing motifs abound, such as a chequered flag print on the caseback, the word ‘SPEED’ printed on the tachymeter bezel – these are the main elements. The Red Bull edition stands out for a colour scheme that matches the team’s livery.

The 2025 releases: new Formula 1 Chronograph, Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye, Purple Carrera Chronograph and Tourbillon, Carrera Chronograph Precious, Carrera Date.

To notice: In 1969, TAG Heuer became the first luxury brand to have its logo displayed on a Formula 1 car and, in 1971, the first to sponsor a team. Through its various team affiliations, it has been associated with an impressive record of 239 wins, 613 podium finishes, 9,471 points, 11 World Constructors’ Championships, and 15 World Drivers’ Championships, making it one of the most successful brands in Formula 1 history.

Monaco in TAG Heuer heart

Celebrating its 75th year in Formula 1, TAG Heuer’s continued association with the event highlights its deep-rooted connection to motorsports and the famous Monaco race. The brand’s rich history with the Monaco circuit is intertwined with its iconic TAG Heuer Monaco watch collection, which has become synonymous with the event. As a result, the race will officially be known as the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco.

But there is a long history behind this news: the legacy in Monaco has started with Jochen Rindt, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost or Ayrton Senna, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez. Plus: the watchmaker will become a key-partner in Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique.

To notice: there is also the TAG Heuer Monaco collection – born in the vibrant era of the late 1960s, the Monaco model made its grand entrance in 1969, alongside the groundbreaking launch of the world’s first automatic chronograph movement, the Calibre 11. The Monaco’s status as a cultural icon was solidified in 1971 when it graced the wrist of legendary actor Steve McQueen in the movie “Le Mans.”

In love with Porsche

The F1 races are not the only ones where the watches signed TAG Heuer come along with a sport car. The Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye watches mark another chapter in the brand’s collaboration with Porsche. These latest 2025 TAG Heuer releases draw inspiration from Porsche’s first rally success at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, where the 911 “147” finished fifth overall and second in its class.
