* Over the past five years, Renault has explored its 128-year history by reviving some of its iconic models as one-off creations. Through these reinterpretations, the French brand continues to bring its heritage to life ahead of the opening of the future Renault Collections museum in Flins – scheduled for 15 months from now-where the vehicles will be accessible to the general public.
* Following the electric R17 restomod concept by Ora Ïto and the Renault 5 Diamant – an art car created in collaboration with Pierre Gonalons – this latest model is a reinterpretation of the iconic Renault 8 Gordini.

* A two-seater electric coupé with a bold character, the Renault 8 Gordini Concept gives the legendary car a fresh look featuring a motorsport-inspired design. With its low, wide body, radically sculpted silhouette, and 270 hp electric motor, it resembles a rally car in every respect. Blending heritage with contemporary lines and combining a clean silhouette with “café racer” styling, the concept brings the Gordini spirit to life.
* Launched in 1964, the Renault 8 Gordini featured a rear-mounted, 95 hp engine and rear-wheel drive. Offering genuine racing performance yet demanding advanced driving skills, it was an effective, but challenging car. The Renault 8 Gordini (“la Gorde”) served as a superb training car for a generation of drivers, including Jean Ragnotti. By applying the Gordini name to a sporty version of a production model, Renault made performance accessible a decade before the GTI phenomenon took off. The double white stripe became iconic.
* The Renault 8 Gordini Concept will subsequently be displayed at the Renault stand during the Paris Motor Show, from October 12 to 18, 2026.
