My top 4 favourite collections from Stockholm Fashion Week
Fashion Month has just started. Copenhagen Fashion Week surprised me with some interesting street style outfits, Vienna is ready for the show (from 10th of September). And, on the corner, New York, Milan, London and Paris are waiting for the fashionista pack. And Stockholm Fashion Week had some interesting collection to look at, as well. Here are my top 4 favourite collections from Stockholm Fashion Week.
First of all, Filippa K. I have always admired the clean cuts of the brand design, the sophisticated simplicity of white blue and nude shades, the versatility of the clothes. For Spring/Summer 2019, Filippa K collection is inspired by 1990 period, developed around a palette of natural tones and structures. I just loved the beige naked jacket. Camilla Thulin – and, in particular, the patterns. From flowers to cartoons, from tropical jungle leafs to delicate princesses, from play cards to urban items as bicycles. And using real models, from all ages – that was a touching plus. (Designer: Camilla Thulin, Hair: Stafsing / Lernberger, Make up: Dior – Backstage / Annika Stödberg, Erika Niklasson, Catherine Dichy med assistenter Kasandra Munoz Godocito, Emelie Wood, Piano: Henrik Måwe / Chopin, Catwalk: Marika Hansson)
Selam Fessahaye – it was very interesting the association of colours and it was ingenious the way of using unusual fabrics. Selam Fessahaye, a stylist and costume designer, proposed a collection for spring/summer 2019 as it was supposed to be on a scene. And I mean the neon colours, the workwear references, the couture touches like asymmetrical hems, and the dramatically oversize suiting. Busnel. I wanted to buy some, instantly, and that’s not just because the clothes have my favourite shades of white and black, grey and maybe caramel or ivory. But because the spring/summer 2019 collection, inspired by the view of Bretagne is perfect for an endless holiday by the seaside.
