It’s a red CHANEL Christmas time! 

I like my winter holidays to be… all white (well, just the holidays, otherwise I’d better have the snow only in ski resorts). This year though, I think my Christmas will be red. And that is because, for the first time in the history of CHANEL, the legendary clear-glass bottle designed by Mademoiselle Chanel is changing its colour. This Christmas, the famous N°5 is available in a limited edition, all dressed in red CHANEL. I am already thinking of a long sparkling red dress to go with the scent… 

N°5 L’EAU Eau de Toilette and N°5 Eau de Parfum (100 ml) are available in mass-dyed red glass and in  55 numbered red Baccarat crystal bottles for a collector’s edition of the N°5 Parfum (900 ml). www.chanel.com

A red CHANEL Christmas this year because… 

1. Christmas is a time of year like no other, and N°5 is a fragrance like no other. Red N°5 will be the unexpected element of the winter holiday. 
2. “Red is the colour of blood”, Mademoiselle Chanel said. And that is the reason that the legendary bottle of N°5 (designed in 1921 and adapted in 1924), a rectangular bottle with simple geometric lines will be, this month… red.
