#FeelFeeric: a diary of Feeric Fashion Week 2022 edition
A dozen of shows, more than 50 designers, 6 fashion universities and design Institutes from Romania and aboard, three days of fashion. That was, for short, Feeric Fashion Week 2022 edition.

First day in Sibiu…
… was pretty interesting. It started with two shows on the spiral ramp of Promenada Mall Sibiu: Dzhus and Borbala.
I loved that I could see (finally!) live the extremely interesting pieces of the Ukrainian designer Irina Dzhus (Read here an older interview with her for the blog). Music and sound design by EYIBRA (US). Cruelty-free footwear provided by House Martin (Ukraine). In the second show, I admired Ferencz Borbala clothes (a former student of UAD Cluj-Napoca – read here) and the sustainability message.
The first day continued with a street show powered by A List Designers Boutique and supported by Bucharest Mall, with hats from Pălăria Dădârlat, bags signed Laura Olaru, shoes in limited edition by Izabela Măndoiu or Aerwear ribbons. The outifts were signed by Muna, Couture de Marie, Laura Badea, Malluce Design, Izabela Măndoiu, Catch Michelle, Larisa Dragna, Claudia Castrase, Inno Atelier, Concept a Trois, Aerwear, Nagun, Nympha Clothing, Kinga Varga, Monarh Design, Oh Kimono. A lot of white and a lot of flowers, just perfect for a hot summer day.
The last show of the day was that of Ramelle, in a fairy-tale atmosphere of Bruckental Palace from Avrig, and I liked a lot the interesting cuts of the black jackets and the gold details.
Second day at Feeric Fashion Week 2022…
… has started with a impressive collective show with designs of the students from universities and design institutes from Romania and abroad. Some cool pieces from UAD, Cluj-Napoca / Universitatea Nationala de Arte „George Enescu”, Iasi / UNARTE, Bucuresti / UVT, Timisoara and a lot of interesting designs from Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design / Alexandra Catrangiu Studio / Chansa / IED Superheroes.
A car junkyard (at Remat) was the perfect scene for the next two shows of the day. First, the concept of the installation signed by Dressingz took us by surprise – the clothes and bags interchanging was there to underline the idea of sustainability and recycling in fashion industry. These were the ideas also for the next show, Hooldra (Jacqueline Barth & Mira Wanderlust) – buy less, choose well.
The surprise of the day came from the installation presented at CineGold in Promenada Sibiu: Acasă, la origini. Basically, the traditional Romanian haute-couture in traditional outfits from Făgăraș area. A dozen of traditional costumes, with a lot of embroidery, laces and linen were presented in a live experience by the people that preserved this kind of craftsmanship in the area. Just beautiful!
The night has ended with a cool and ready-to-wear collection on Promenada Sibiu terrace – Synergia by Promenada Sibiu and Raluca Cosareanu designs.
The third day was even more packed with fashion…
First, on the cobbled stone street of Sibiu I saw the collection of Manuela Djurdi, a Romanian designer, alumni of IED Milano Institute of Fashion and Design and the prêt-à-porter collection signed by Andreea Pleșa (see here an interview with her and her master collection).
Between pipes and the smell of bread in Boromir factory I admired the latest collection of Bianca Popp (read here an interview with her).
And, for the last part of the evening, the Gala of Feeric Fashion Week 2022 included show of Chotronette / Carolina Design / Sandra Chira / Bianca Rîpan / Casi Couture / Atelier Luz / Aida Lorena Atelier.
