12 Cloud Dancer looks from Milano Fashion Week
For the first time in history, the color of the year is, actually, a non-color. Yes, even the Pantone Institute says that Cloud Dancer is a milky shade of white. But white as it is, milky or not, I cannot wait for the summer to wear one of my favorite shades. Therefore, I chose 12 Cloud Dancer looks to inspire everyone, from the beautiful runways of Milano Fashion Week.
The fluffy cloud – Ermanno Scervino, Antonio Marras, Blumarine.

Ermanno Scervino spring/summer 2026 collections brought us a vibe of tourists coming straight out of an Anacapri postcard. The Antonio Marras SS26 fashion show comes to life as a journey intertwining literature, art, and fashion, and with some warm shades of white. Meanwhile, Blumarine put the bets on some gothic mood (as the house said) but made it in… white.
The office white cloud – Emporio Armani, MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, Boss.

The Armani collection is about returning – to the essence of Armani style, with light, elongated silhouettes and a balance of masculine & feminine. MM6 Maison Martin Margiela spring/summer puts the catwalk into the streets (and it was a white one, what else?!) And populated it with papery fabrics, hole-punched details, garment bag-inspired outerwear that added a retro feel. For Boss SS26 we saw a collection where functionality, simplicity, and precision are redefined through innovative, bold statements of contemporary design.
The simple (but fabulous) cloud – Bottega Veneta, Giuseppe di Morabito, Jil Sander

Simple, but spectacular – worn at the beach but also on the red carpet; I think that Louise Trotter had a good start at Bottega Veneta. On the other hand, at Giuseppe di Morabito nothing was simple – frills, stiff corsets, embellished boots – a look made for the show. Jil Sander’s SS26 collection, with Simone Bellotti at the debut, returned to brand codes, blending rigorous minimalism with softness, precise tailoring, architectural shapes, subtle sensuality through slits and cutouts.
The different kind of fabrics cloud – Max Mara, Roberto Cavalli, Moschino

Jerseys, big knittings, organza and silk – from ordinary to the most exquisite fabrics, I could say. Max Mara brought, for SS26 collection, tailored shorts suits, deconstructed trench coats and some unexpected white summer combos. On Roberto Cavalli runway we saw a lot of gold and sheer dresses; I chose for this selection a goldish white long dress, perfect for parties. And, for the end, because sometimes is better to not take everything so seriously, be inspired by Moschino never ending childish nonconformist spirit: in white, of course!
To end with… Pantone Color of the Year 2026: 11-4201 Cloud Dancer. It was selected for its calming presence, its ability to inspire reflection, and its versatility across design disciplines. It offers an open foundation for creative exploration with color. A milky shade of white, Cloud Dancer it is said to represent a “calming influence in a frenetic society, rediscovering the value of measured consideration and quiet reflection”.
