Cristian Răduță – Build a Ladder From Your Bones (Sandwich Neurohope – Pechea 13, Bucharest) – until 15 of February 2026 – @sandwich.gallery

Mismatched planets, fantastic cats, dragonflies and ants – it is a beautiful exhibition in town and definitely worth the way to the gallery. “Build a ladder from your bones” reiterates Cristian Raduta’s sharp critique of humanity’s obsessive interest in breaking terrestrial barriers and reaching other planets and galaxies. Landed in the generous realm of Sandwich Neurohope, Raduta’s slim-figured, stretched animals and birds, cast in aluminium, resin, or bronze, become the more-than-human cosmic cadets, carriers of man’s repeated failed attempts to reign over extraterrestrial space.

KOG7 – (Cultural Hub Kogălniceanu 7) Ștefan Pelmuș – until January 2026 – @kogalniceanu7

Dozens of art works from one of the best Romanian artists, plus a huge triptic and a new album “Ștefan Pelmuș – Pictura”. Ștefan Pelmuș’s creation is defined by a unique, intensely symbolic plastic language, with mystical and esoteric resonances. Spirals, crosses, the labyrinth, the grail, the fish, the tree, the goblet or the armor make up a recognizable visual vocabulary, as the artist himself states. Bonus: it will see one gallery with a special vibe and a very cool host. 🙂

Galeria Galateea Contemporary Art – “After Touch” exhibition, by the artist Alexandra Constantinescu (until January 7, 2026) – www.galateeagallery.com/
Objects that preserve traces, mimic functions, display fragility as a form of expression. A slowed-down gaze, a type of encounter based not on contact but on resonance: a poetic of vulnerability. The idea of | after touch | – the moment when touch, although ceased, continues to work in the material. The exhibition aims to create a space in which the gaze itself becomes an act of “after touch”, a space between gesture and trace, between touch and its prolonged echo in matter, to offer a field of relationships in which meaning is slowly structured, with the help of the viewer’s willingness to give time, receptivity, and attention.
Mobius Gallery – Salon de Papier – until the 21st of December 2025 – www.mobius-gallery.com

Salon de Papier is a dedicated space that revitalizes overlooked artistic practices, particularly “works on paper”. At its 3rd edition, Salon de Papier has some cool things that I loved – from Ecaterina Vrana, Roman Tolici, Bogdan Gârbovan, Sebastian Moldovan, Magdalena Pelmuș. Emphasizing the importance of “works on paper” and the necessity for a slower, more meaningful pace in cultural engagements, Salon de Papier aims to establish genuine connections and provide a dedicated environment for historical recuperation.

/SAC @ Malmaison – Why „We Should All Be Feminists” (until 14th of February, 2026) – @sacbucharest
In 2012, Nigerian-born writer and activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie gave a talk at TEDxEuston in London titled “We Should All Be Feminists”, which was shared millions of times online. “Feminist artists have achieved much in the fight for equality, but the achievements of our generation are fragile”, warns Annegret Soltau, one of the most important feminist artists of the 1970s. She emphasizes that the achievements of the international feminist avant-garde formed in 1968 and IntAkt (International Action Group of Women Visual Artists), founded in Austria in 1977, must be strengthened and sustained every day. So where do we stand today, almost 50 years after IntAkt artists succeeded in questioning/challenging the mechanisms of power in society and gender relations?
