The most beautiful coats of the season: top 12 from Fashion Weeks

Imagine that you can live in a country where is always… autumn. Not too cold, not too hot. (Well, I would prefer an endless summer, but that’s a different story.) Therefore, a beautiful coat, a warm and very stylish coat will be much needed. I took a quick look through the collections for fall/winter 2024 presented at London, Paris, New York, Milano Fashion Weeks and I made my decision – I would need a coat every month. The most beautiful coats of the season: top 12 from Fashion Weeks are…

(Photo up: Schiaparelli, Diesel, Issey Miyake)

White & all white again. No matter the brand or the Fashion Week wee saw them in, the coats of the season have some common features: the are long, well structured, from nice & quality fabrics and (sometimes) a very cozy, warm and long scarf from the same fabric is the best accessory. I loved the long white coat from Schiaparelli and the origami-shaped coat from Issey Miyake (see here what I am talking about the scarf). And I would save the Diesel long silver coat for a December party.

Gauchère, Emilia Wickstead, Max Mara

Many shades of grey. Gauchère, Emilia Wickstead and Max Mara: these are my favorite grey coats for fall/winter 2024 season. Attention to the length – the short one from Gauchère is completed with a skirt in the same color code and fabric, while the long coats are just above the ankle.

Michael Kors, Coach, Jason Wu

Black is the new black, of course. Michael Korn, Jason Wu and Coach – well, all black, all well tailored, all in precious and good fabrics. Investing in a new coat can be overwhelming, of course. But black can be for everyone, therefore  you can experiment with several silhouettes before making a decision.

Antonio Marras, Alberta Ferretti, Eudon Choi

For color fans. Not for me, obviously 🙂 even the red long beautiful coat from Antonio Madras stole my heart the moment I saw it on the catwalk. Depending on your skin tone (and your color preferences) you can also choose an olive one from Alberta Ferretti or a chestnut brown from Eudun Choi. Before buying a new coat, try styling it (at leat imagine that) with existing pieces in your wardrobe to guarantee maximum wear for seasons to come. Quality over quantity is the mantra.
