5 coats from Milan Fashion Week FW2020 I put on my autumn list
If New York is all about cool people and interesting new designers, if London is about experiments and installations, Milan Fashion Week will be always about elegance, big names and clothes to put on the shopping list. Therefore, here they are: the clothes that stole my heart. 5 coats from Milan Fashion Week SS20 I put on my autumn list.
Exaggerated sleeves, super elegant suits for office, fringes, precious details, fine fabrics and unexpected details: Milan Fashion Week was about fashion & trends, in all their forms. If we saw a lot of Westworld influences in Moschino and Fendi catwalks, a bunch of fringes at Prada, Jil Sander or Alberta Ferretti, we also have noticed that Salvatore Ferragamo, Max Mara, Emporio Armani, Tods and others put a special focus on business suits and elegant coats.
As or me. for this fall/winter 2020 season, I put on my autumn list 5 coats. First, the classical dark blue navy coats with metallic buttons signed by Tod’s. Impeccable! And, once more, I am pretty sure that the Italian house becomes better and better when it’s about clothes to last.
On the second place on my list I would put the item seen on Emporio Armani catwalk – the tweed patterned classical coat. I loved the line, the length and the sleeves’ detail that makes it so special.
The third choice would be, for sure, the elegant grey puffed sleeves coat by Max Mara. The Italian house chose grey as the main colour for its recent collections and I can swear that those 50 shades of grey never looked better.
On the fourth place in my virtual shopping basket I will place an item that fascinated humanitay since early stages of fashion history> a cape signed by Ermanno Scervino. I really don’t think there is anything more mysterious and, at the same time, more feminine than a cape. A black one? Bring it on, new Superwoman!
The last, but not the least, my choice would be the elegant black coat from Prada catwalk, with fringes and sparkling details, it seems like a perfect coat to soften the transition between cold winter nights and the spring parties going on in the city.
