The timeline… 

2010. Nicola Fuzzati, Ingredients Innovation and Development Director for Chanel Research, initiated a new program targeting the South of France, and more precisely a hotspot of biodiversity in the heart of the French Alps. A few among several hundred of these long-forgotten wild plants were selected by Chanel Research for their cosmetic effects on the youthfulness and quality of the skin.

2014. A combination of genomic analysis and an expert analysis on facial senility – (study performed on 524 women from 2002 to 2013) – enabled Chanel Research to determine a new biological target associated with cutaneous aging: SESTRINE-2. This protein, located in the basal layer of the epidermis, is an anti-stress shield that protects the skin from premature aging and slows the appearance of the signs of age.

2019. After founding an open-sky laboratory dedicated to vanilla planifolia of Madagascar, Sublimage writes a new chapter in its story. Another – just as prodigious – plant is being unveiled: anthyllis, the treasure within Chanel Sublimage L’Essence Lumière.

The result: SUBLIMAGE L’Essence Lumière simultaneously improves every aspect of radiance. It instantly illuminates the complexion.
