It was a tour de force – more than 4 hours, 49 collections (I hope I manage to count them all, really!) And yes, the 2025 year runway for graduates and master collections was, indeed, fashion around the clock (thanks, Sabina Georgescu, for inspiration). As every year, UNArte Moda gala is… a bit too long – at some point, you mix the designers and the collections as in a fashion melting pot. But it is getting better every year, and that is something I am happy about. Meet the designers & the collections of UNArte Moda 2025 generation!
The moulded faces on the dresses in StevenOhSteven collection, the zippers accessories (and some ruffles) from Alecsia Mihaela Pântece (BetweenLines collection), the very nautical reinterpreted hats, belts and bags from Lorena Ion runway, the crane bag from Tara Ozon, the face covers at Ionuț Răzvan, the head piece from Alexandra Constantinescu, the collar at Adelin Florin Huțan, all the puppets and resin accessories from Vlad Andrei Tălmaciu.

The outfits that I love…
The cocoon trench and matching skirt from Ilinca Balmuș (and her coherent collection with volumes and neutral colours). The sporty outfit and the vibe of the runway from Andrei Cristian Vlăsceanu (Twelve collection). The white suit and orange details by Flavius Stângaciu (Matca collection), the total red outfit from Alessia-Maria Mihalcea (who had a playful red tie inspired theme in her woMan collection), the white shirt sequin pants combo from Robert Roca (Protostar collection – read here an interview with him), the black and white outfit signed by Cristina Alexandru, a playful reinterpretation of some more rigid pieces (Time-Chronicles of Life). The fluid lines of the outfit signed Daria Nicola Crivăț (Shells of Her). The embellished coat at Steliana Macsimova Farcaș (Stellum collection – seen at Iași Romanian Creative Week – read here about the event and collections).

The collections to put on my favorite list…
The nautical themed in neutral colors and unexpected cuts from Lorena Ion (Anod), the Japanese inspired very well done collection of Tara Ozon (Kokeshi Kouture), the naughty kind of office but not so much 🙂 Ionuț Răzvan (Maybe in Another Life), the Alexandra Constantinescu excellent collection and beautifully origami-style textures and cuts, reminding me a bit of some Issey Miyake pieces (Mulier). The man white-ish collection from Cristian Gabriel Mierlă, with some cool, casual and relaxed wearable outfits (mOno collection was the winner of Molecule-F prize).

The drama nice to watch…
There were some collections that catch the attention through the well-played setup, coordination and the scenography. One of the most interesting collections (with cool details and accessories reminding me of some sculptures) was “Who are you when no one is watching?” StevenOhSteven. Others collections to put here on the list was the one of Adelin Florin Huțan (Ange ou Démon) and the very theatrical (but beautiful) one of Vlad Andrei Tălmaciu (Party Animal Surrealist Ball).

And many nice things worth mentioning…
Nice blazers at Victoria-Alice Colț (Neutral Suits) and Luca Sîrbu (I’ve tried nothing, everything works) and a very bold approach at Ariana Alexandra Stanciu with an all-leather collection (some interesting bags, by the way in Reborn collection). Cool pants at Diana Toacă (Dux-4 collection). A creative use of zippers at Maria-Denisa Manda, a wearable combo shirt & pants (with a twist) at Ana Olingheru (Embera collection), the traditional carpets turned into modern trenches at Delia Nină (84-85 collection). The 3D printed accessories at Daria Căpitănescu (Touch of Technology collection) and the white weird accessories at Alexandra Raluca Mocanu (Chrysalide Dreams). The cool mix of prints at Ștefania Andreea Marin (Parallax Error). The traditional motifs and Grigore Leșe live music at Ioana Ionete (Stelele cad în rădăcini). The playful sporty duos for men with nice drawings at Antonia Ticu (Urban Fusion). The fluid skirt at Ana Maria Mircea (Clarobscur).
