Produced in partnership with the Palais Galliera, this retrospective exhibition on the couturier’s life and work will be a major first in Paris! At the heart of the event was Charles Frederick Worth (1825-1895), nicknamed the “father of haute couture”. Visitors will discover a fabulous selection of emblematic costumes from the rich collections of the museums of the City of Paris. An opportunity to admire the craftsmanship of this legendary couturier.

Ann-Sofie Back, called the most influential fashion designer in Sweden, is known for her subversive and pro-vocal creations, often inspired by clichés about femininity, shame and failed glamour. She now presents her collections from her entire career in this exhibition that can be admired at the Liljevalchs art museum.

After its hugely successful launch at Milan’s Palazzo Reale, the exhibition has arrived in Paris at the Grand Palais. Diane von Fürstenberg is the protagonist of a retrospective exhibition at the Skirball Cultural Center, which also celebrates the 50th anniversary of her iconic wrap-dress. The exhibition explores the designer’s life through four thematic sections, in which over 50 clothing items created by her will be exhibited alongside artworks, test samples and media pieces.

For the first time, Louvre is hosting a fashion exhibition. The exhibition features 45 designers – from Chanel and Balenciaga to Versace and Yves Saint Laurent – revealing an unprecedented dialogue between art and fashion from the 1960s to today. 70 garments and 30 accessories by a host of renowned designers are presented in this landmark show. Each of these garments and accessories is on special loan from the most iconic fashion houses, both long-standing and recent, in Paris and throughout the world.

A major exhibition celebrating the love of the water over the last 100 years explores the full spectrum of the design of swimming – from sports performance and fashion, to architecture. Discover over 200 objects, collectively exploring swimming’s evolution in its social, cultural, technological and environmental contexts, including Pamela Anderson’s sensational Baywatch swimsuit, the first Olympic solo swimming gold medal won by a British woman, and a selection of eye-catching men’s Speedos from the 1980s.

Palais Galliera is presenting the third and final part of its collections exhibition Fashion on the Move. With more than 180 new items from the museum’s collections on display, the exhibition retraces the history of fashion from the eighteenth century to the present day, exploring the way in which fashion has adapted to the body in movement. The focus of this installation is winter sports.
