5 cool collections for spring/summer 2021

I am #dreamingof a sunny spring, don’t you? The new spring/summer 2021 collections are cute & cozy, just perfect for home work or for the luxury escapes in some (still not closed islands). Therefore, from all new & fresh (and a little bit under the radar) of fashion collections of the season, I chose 5 names that caught my attentions. 5 cool collections for spring/summer 2021.
Mira Mikati – is not a new discovery, but an old crush. This season, the designer came with sport insertions in her funny & colourful world. The spring collection is titled “Health Is Happiness,” starring racket prints on pyjama tops, boxing attire (including a gloves), and a cascade of florals. www.miramikati.com

Helmut Lang – every collection is, for me, a love at first sight (if you can fall in love so many times :). White & black, clean cuts, some unexpected associations of shorst & bows, leather jumpsuits and business blazers. So cool! www.helmutlang.com

Lemaire – or the effortlessly chic brand presented a sophisticated but very toned spring/summer 2021 collection. The designers, Sarah-Linh Tran and Christophe Lemaire intended some outfits very versatile, with exaggerated drapes meant to be comfortable and very easy to wear: oversized trousers, big shoulders, jumpsuits and comfy trenches. https://eu.lemaire.fr

Nina Ricci – A collection inspired by L’Air du Temps, the institutional fragrance Nina Ricci launched after the Second World War. The show was presented through the (imagined) recorded screen of an iPhone, scrolling the viewer through their research process, from Google searches to YouTube clips and exchanges on iMessage. “It was a message of hope, optimism, and revival.” www.ninaricci.com

ALTER – a very fresh & new monegasque brand (designer Pauline Ducruet) that mixes classic and modern designs. The intention? A wardrobe for anyone who believes in freedom to wear whatever makes him/her happy. “As colour and sound reverberates off walls, we are called to channel inspiration and create the future. New York, Paris, London – for wild and indomitable souls.” https://alter-designs.com
