15 black & white looks to inspire from streetstyle at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24

I love Scandinavian aesthetic for years now – clean cuts, crisp fabrics and… a lot of neutral tones. Therefore, the streetstyle scene at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24 could easily serve me as the perfect moodboard for the months to come. I chose 15 black & white looks to inspire from streetstyle at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24.

More about the designers presented this year at Copenhagen Fashion Week – here – https://copenhagenfashionweek.com/

I have to be very honest: I put, along with black and white outfits, some in beige or grey. But, despite the nuance variation, the mix of white (beige) and black was one of the most common one on the streets of Copenhagen. What have I noticed? First of all, everybody (well, almost everybody) had something on the head – from bucket hats to baseball caps to balaclvas, scarfs or even jewellery ornamentations.

Then, I loved the idea of mixing pants with skirts – and not just the long straight skirts with skinny jeans – I saw a lot of oversized dresses worn over the wide pants, the fringed ones with business suits or mini leather skirts over… leather pants.

Thirdly, let’s take a look on the shoes: flats, snickers,  kitten heels, boots or  loafers, mostly in black & white – all in the name of comfort.

Finally, we have to talk about the make-up and hairstyle: simple, natural, with clean buns or ponytails, with straight bobs and natural waves. With little jewellery or other accessories. Just perfect!

About the collections…

  • Copenhagen Fashion Week is now one of the coolest fashion weeks in the calendar. Just look to cool Danish brands like Ganni, Stine Goya, Saks Potts, and Rotate Birger Christensen for proof.
  • Copenhagen’s new and emerging designers are offering fresh perspectives on the Scandinavian aesthetic. Plus: for example, at the recent presentations (for SS24), at least half of the collections presented were required to be made from recycled or upcycled materials. From over-the-top pattern mixing and interesting asymmetrical creations to futuristic takes on classic tailoring, many of the collections shown at CPHFW Spring/Summer 2024 were as innovative and memorable as the exciting outfits seen on the streetstyle parade.
    * No notice: the designer Paolina Russo, the winner of Zalando Visionary Award has presented her first collection, Monolithic, at Copenhagen Fashion Week 2024 (more about her here – https://www.paolinarusso.com
