How to be stylish when outside temperature is (a lot) below zero? Sounds like an self-help kind of article; in fact, is just a introduction to the sustainable concious & very fashionable world of Nordic collections & streetstyle. What did I like? I present you, here, 4 collections & 4 streetstyle looks I liked at Copenhagen Fashion Week AW23.

The collections that I liked were…
Stine Goya – with a collection inspired by ski resorts like Aspen – the story of this beautiful snow universe and ice-crystal landscape. Therefore, we an see a lot of glitzy accessories combined with puffers, as well as suits with prints inspired by ski costumes.
Ganni – denim was one of the recurrent elements in this collection and the metallic-coated denim jackets and jeans were paired with wool-tweed coats. Husband-and-wife design duo Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup have put their brand on the map with their take on nonchalant cool-girl separates that have that elusive high-low appeal.
Baum und Pferdgarten – looked to Wes Anderson’s moody introvert Margot Tenenbaum for inspiration this season. “She’s an icon but she’s so mysterious – since she wears the same clothes throughout the movie, we reflected on how she would look in 2023” said creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave backstage.
Holzweiler – siblings Susanne and Andreas Holzweiler, and Maria Skappel Holzweiler (wife of Andreas) put the snow gear into the spotlight. This was a collection of wearable clothes – stonewash denim, crinkled suits, knits, quilted coats.
The streetstyle inspiration comes from Denmark…
Or, in other words, how to be chic without freezing? It’s a taught job, but I think that the fashion crowd from Copenhagen made it! Puffers in the craziest colours ever, a lot of knittings (and the revelation of the year, balaclava), jeans and print everywhere. Take a look at the streetstyle looks and get inspired!
