The Prints Brotherhood: 20 looks to be inspired from Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26
Everything we thought about Nordic style was denied in a single shot. This year, at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26, the style went rogue, and the prints – from polka dots to bold stripes, from funny messages to colorful rays and zebra patterns – were seen everywhere. So much for the white & beige Nordic style. I present you… the Prints Brotherhood: 20 looks to be inspired from Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26.

One print was impossible to ignore: polka dots. Whether blown-up and bold or barely-there delicate, dots are punctuating everything: skirts, shirts, bags, even socks. It was mixed and matched with pale pinks, bold striped pants or even with… more polka dots.

Speaking of stripes… they were more present than ever and in colors that Danish fashion scene was not so familiar: bright greens and electric blues, associated woth pink and navy shades, with parachute proportions and precision layering.

Funny prints where everywhere – nobody said that Nordics don’t have the sense of humor (and we only have to remember that the rat bag was, actually, the superstar of Copenhagen street style mood this year). Messages, cheeky prints or naive drawings – everything was allowed.

This season, contrasts are doing the heavy lifting. Utilitarian cargos meet sheer tanks. Slouchy tailoring is softened with pastel lace. Masculine vests and ties are layered with feminine flourishes – belt chains, bows, and yes, more polka dots

When in doubt… put all the colours into one outfit! Or at least I think that was the initial thought for the guest arriving at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26. Metallic hair clips, bandanas, and bursts of yellow (in bags and charms) are cropping up everywhere.

The Nordic beige was transformed, this season, into. A bright yellow – from full skirts to jersey T-shirts and event to the ever-present Havaianas. And of course, to the yellow necklaces that seemed to appear everywhere.

Checkers and tartan. And yellow again. And more zebra. Plus: a lot of accessories – from mini red clutches to oversized cotton bags.
