The Karl Lagerfeld method: extraordinary fashion exhibition

If you are in Germany this summer, don’t miss the exhibition in Bonn. Karl Lagerfeld. “Modemethode” at the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany is the first comprehensive exhibition to explore the fashion cosmos of this exceptional designer. And who else is more appropriate to talk about the methodology of fashion than the designer Karl Lagerfeld who, in 60 years of activity, made incredible pieces for Chanel, Patou, Fendi or Chloé?! The same Karl, whose irony and perfectionism are well known and the person behind the incredible setups of the Chanel shows (an iceberg, a supermarket, a bistro or a casino). As creative director and chief designer of Chanel since 1983, he is regarded among experts as the sole legitimate successor to the founder and fashion legend Coco Chanel. Since 1965 Lagerfeld has been designing two collections per year for the Italian house of Fendi, not to mention his own eponymous label.
In the exhibition we could see an extensive approach of Lagerfeld’s work: from the sketches to finished garment and accessories till the amazing setting of his fashion shows. The exhibition is opened in Bonn until 13th of September 2015. (www.bundeskunsthalle.de)
