Mood board: 5 collections for the summer
I need to say it again. And again. And again. I love summer. I think that sun, sea and sand could instantly change a boring day in a beautiful one. Especially when I could add to that some light & soft satin jumpsuits, long fluid pin striped skirts, breezy shirts and the perfect wide trousers – sleeveless tight jackets. My choices for spring/summer 2016 hot sunny days? 5 collections for the summer (of course, in shades of black, whites and blue – what else?!).
Fist on the list: Amanda Wakely trousers outfits, ideal for a urban walk, inspired, as the designer said, by the neo-futuristic artist and architect Santiago Calatrava structures, by their “strenght and delicacy”. Black, white, back, cashmere, chiffon: simply perfect.
Chalayan: a summer night out needs a special look. Even it’s summer, I would bet on black and some asymmetric cuts.
Martin Grant: If it’s summer, it’s navy. I have always wandered why we are so attracted in the summer to the blue and white combo (stripes, dots or every other combination). But I am pretty sure that I cannot be wrong with the Martin Grant spring/summer 2016 outfits.
Peter Pilotto: White and blue with a twist, the crayon-coloured zips, crisp whites, bold straps and elasticated dropped sleeves lent an athletic accent, contrasting the ethereal feel and palette of sky-blue and lemon perfectly. For lazy afternoons on a terrace.
Vassily: There is no spring/summer season without full white outfits. The most beautiful ones come from Vassily. Delicate mid-length dresses, jumpsuits with a dark blue detail and an amazing little..white dress.
