A designer to watch: Fullwati
Winter is for knitting. As well as for having fun and spend your day with your friends and family. And when the clothes have bright colours and cool cuts, the name of the brand is worth keeping in mind. Fullwati. Or, as in Hindi, “the girl wearing a flower”.
Fullwati pieces are available on www.fullwati.com.
The jumpers are imagined in India, created in Paris, made in Italy.
Inspired by women who love life and are not afraid to live it, designer Juliette Kress conceived the Fullwati project in Paris, following her travels in India and Asia. In love with the right colours of the exotic cloths, eager to put them in some coutures, the designer took in this brand adventure her know-how gained in Manish Arora and the travel experiences.
The young brand history (no older than a year) is not just a usual brand story. It also has a human accent, as the fabrics used to do the clothes are woven in India, in association with a group of ambitious indian woman. The story continued in Paris, where the basis of the new collections were settled. What could be missed in this wonderful affair of colourful wool, mohair and cotton? An amazing handcraft. And it will take no more than two Italian women of Florence (Monica and Alda), to finish the manufacture of the jumpers. The two passionate women have set up their knitting factory, the alchemy is instantaneous and the sweaters come to life.
