Make-up in black & white: CHANEL fall/winter 2019 collection

“Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony”, said Gabrielle Chanel. And, as a girl white a black & white obsession (at least when it comes to clothes), I couldn’t be happier. Black nails, silver shimmer and some deep black cherry lips? Bring them to me!

For Fall-Winter 2019, black and white, the ultimate symbolic (non) colors of CHANEL, are explored and reinterpreted by Lucia Pica, CHANEL Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer, for a stylised and sumptuous beauty collection. 

“Black and white are the colors I relate most to Gabrielle Chanel; the time she lived in, the power she gave these colors, the way they appeared in her life. Black and white were in her surroundings, in the interiors, in the architecture of Paris as well as in the symbolism of her life” – Lucia Pica said. 

What we are going to find in the new CHANEl fall/winter 2019 make-up colection? 

• For the face: LE GEL PAILLETÉ – that will make the face sparkle with a glamour seen at Hollywood stars. 
• For the eyes: – a gradation of blacks, browns, silvers, greys and whites evokes screen sirens of an earlier black-and-white era. The stars: STYLO YEUX WATERPROOF, LES 4 OMBRES and OMBRE PREMIÈRE TOP COAT, for a subtle shine. 
• For the lips: ROUGE COCO GLOSS Laque Noire – a deep black cherry, with Crystal Clear as the counterpart, a transparent top coat. ROUGE ALLURE LIQUID POWDER – Bois de Nuit, a light, warm rosewood and Timeless a light caramel beige. ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME extends the idea of a garden at night with Rose Nocturne, a deep matte rosebud, while Rouge Obscur is a deep rich burgundy. 
• For the nails: LE VERNIS, the optic white and intense black betray no compromise on their opacity.
