The green collection: H&M Conscious Exclusive is ready to save the world
What can I do with 88 plastic pets? Just recycle them? But if I could do more? Well, I found out this spring that the plastic produced by one person in a couple of weeks is enough to buy myself a beautiful dress. And to save the planet, as a bonus. To cut the story short, the new and beautiful H&M Conscious Exclusive collection (at its sixth edition) is going to be in stores from 20th of April 2017 (and online, on www.hm.com).
Conscious Exclusive for women and kids will be available in circa 160 stores worldwide from 20 April (in Romania, in Baneasa Shopping City, www.baneasashoppingcity.ro and online http://www2.hm.com/ro_ro/index.html).
The menswear range is available online only from the same date.
H&M Conscious Exclusive collection is ultra glamorous and completely green. And that’s because washed up plastic waste and recycled shampoo bottles are transformed in beautiful pleated gowns, sequined tops and perfect suits. I do not think that could be something more glamorous than being a superhero and save the world in a cool dress.
About the H&M Conscious Exclusive 2017
- Tencel, recycled polyester, recycled glass, organic silk, organic cotton and organic linen all star in H&M’s upcoming Conscious Exclusive collection.
- I wouldn’t know what to choose between the silky nice dresses, dapper tuxedos, embroidered jackets, sequined cocktail dresses and tops or… a beautiful bridal gown (sold only online).
- One of the collection’s key pieces is a light pink gown of flowing pleats made in BIONIC® – which is a polyester made of recovered and recycled shoreline waste. Every dress is made out of 88 plastic bottles that have been washed up from the ocean, collected and transformed into a beautiful sheer fabric.
- The women’s collection is fronted by Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova, who teams up with H&M for the first time. “H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection shows how the best style can be mindful of the planet, to help protect it for the future. It’s such a desirable collection, with pieces made in sustainable materials that you want to wear for seasons to come”, she says.
