5 coats from New York Fashion Week that I need right now!

I know I should have written more about the trends for the next Fall/Winter 2017/2018 season, but the weather outside determined me to look for fashionable coats. And I found the perfect top 5 among the shows from New York Fashion Week. (CLICK on the gallery above, for more pictures)

First: Altuzarra. Joseph Altuzarra quoted Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth: “Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it.” The cape/coat with goth embellishments caught everyone’s eyes. It will be perfect with the white shirts (I heard that this trend will never fade) and long rock’n boots.  Or maybe some blue jeans, for a change.

The second model: Calvin Klein. It was probably the most and long-waited runway from New York Fashion Week this season. What would Raf Simons would do for Fall/Winter 2017/2018 was the question on everybody’s lips. And Raf did it, again. The minimalist taste and a provocative sort of sensuality are in the DNA brand. And Raf Simons send on the catwalk the coolest minimalist outfits I have ever seen lately. My favourite? The blue navy coat, paired with long bootcut purple pants.

If some were minimalists, I couldn’t say the same thing about Johnson Hartig, from Libertine. “Party while you still can” was his motto. And the coat, even in neutral shades, is just perfect for the party. It has drawings, it has sparkling patches, it has silver metallic chains for buttons.

“I was imagining the Parisian woman picking up the energy of the cool New York woman,” said Zadig & Voltaire artistic director Cecilia Bönström. The coat in checked pattern, paired with jeans, studded sandals and a cool beanie is just perfect for the Fall/Winter 2017/2018 cold season.

Victoria Beckham ruled this season. She paired her structured, slightly oversize blazers and sheer chiffon skirts with slouchy, knee-high leather boots.Very relaxed, very cozy, with interesting details on the sleeves.
