Fashion (on yachts) all the waves!!

There is something more beautiful than a cool yacht sailing along blue sparkling waters? Yep, I think a yacht with some fashion ADN in it. I found some nice collabs between the yachts constructors & fashion world.

Let’s start with the most recent fashion & yacht event: Orient Express X Louis Vuitton sailing experience. The mega yacht Orient Express Corinthian was just launched. And we are keeping the eyes not only the beautiful experience itself, but also on all the details that wear the logo LV, as a result of the partnership with Louis Vuitton’s (LVMH). The concept builds on LVMH’s broader push into high-end travel and experiences. In recent years, the group has invested heavily beyond fashion and leather goods, including Cheval Blanc hotels and the revival of the Orient Express brand through a partnership with Accor. That project includes a luxury train relaunch and the upcoming Orient Express sailing yacht.

Riva & Gucci – there is nothing more elegant than a collaboration that involves the poshest yacht brand and one of the legends in Italian fashion history. Originally launched in 2010 to celebrate Gucci’s 90th anniversary, this collab perfectly merges legendary maritime craftsmanship with high fashion. The project was executed by Riva Yachts and Gucci, in collaboration with Officina Italiana Design. All boats were made to order, in a customized design by Gucci Creative Director (at that time) Frida Giannini – with a mahogany wooden interior, Guccissima pattern for seats and sundeck, green-red-green adornment. Frida Giannini also designed a Riva by Gucci Collection, comprised of duffel bags, summer footwear and other nautical themed accessories, in white leather with green-red-green appliqué, identical to the boat. (Because this collaboration was strictly limited and made-to-order, finding one requires navigating the pre-owned luxury yacht market. – www.riva-yacht.com/, www.gucci.com)

Wally & Hermès – WHY Wally-Hermès Yachts was a dedicated business created by luxury goods manufacturer Hermès and Monaco based yacht maker Wally, dedicated to a new lifestyle of living on the sea (a collab that ended in 2010). The design concept was described by Luca Bassani Antivari, CEO of Wally, as “WHY has it all: space, stability, movement and independence. This revolutionary concept of the moving island has been developed with the latest and most advanced sustainable technologies, recycling thermal energy, as well as any organic and inorganic waste.” The yacht is powered using a diesel electric engine, a 900 sqm surface of the photovoltaic panels provide the solar electricity. Don’t need to say that Hermès details in furnishing added a lot of glamour to this amazing boat. (www.wally.com, www.hermes.com)

Invictus Yachts & Fendi Casa – It was 2018, when Fendi Casa designed a special edition of Invictus yachts, featuring bold colors and vintage, voyage-inspired bespoke furnishings. The exterior features an ivory-white hull, black-bordered topsides, and teak decking laid in a herringbone pattern with ivory caulking. The interior was stylish decorated by the Italian fashion house (the furniture branch) with sofas embellished with distinctive black leather belts and custom buckles embossed with Anna Fendi’s signature. (https://www.invictusyacht.com/, https://www.fendicasa.com/)

The Italian Sea Group (TISG) & Giorgio Armani – The Italian fashion house has collaborated to design custom 236-foot Admiral megayachts, bringing the minimalist and sophisticated Armani aesthetic to superyacht interiors. Giorgio Armani and The Italian Sea Group have partnered to create custom luxury superyachts, highlighted by the 55-meter Silver Star and the flagship 72-meter Admiral series. In the exterior they had sharp geometric volumes combined with satin gold accents, and floor-to-ceiling glass, open-air lounges, flush decks. In the interior, Armani/Casa decorations implied  some sandy neutrals fabrics, pale gold ornaments, Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta, and Canaletto walnut furniture. (Some more versions of this yacht were launched in 2023 and 2025 – https://theitalianseagroup.com/, www.armani.com).
