adidas x Marimekko: the happy collaboration for spring/summer 2023

The fifth collaboration between the king of graphics, Marimekko, and the most loved sport design is here. The SS23 adidas x Marimekko collaboration is a modern expression of print and performance. This fusion of technical excellence and futuristic 60s style encourages people to express themselves boldly – through movement.​

The collection is available in adidas stores in Romania & on adidas.com. The collection will not be sold in Marimekko’s own channels.​

• The collaboration continues to embody a shared design philosophy that sees key pieces from the collection made in part with recycled materials. Built for exploration by adidas, designed for self-expression by Marimekko – bringing a splash of optimism into activewear.​
• The timeless and striking prints of the collection are pulled from the Marimekko archive – the Linssi print was originally designed in 1966 by the textile and environmental artist Kaarina Kellomäki and remains a timeless icon to this day. The Lokki print was designed in 1961 by one of Marimekko’s most established print designers Maija Isola, who was inspired by sun and shade playing across fabric.
• The collection includes standard pieces for women, men and kids – for jogging, tennis, cycling, golf and Originals pieces. It also includes the special technologies by adidas, Aeroready and Formotion – for more confort and support.
