On the wish list: Amanda Wakeley, The Slip Dress
Wish list, objects of desire, something to dream of… Whatever I will call this series, in DETAILS section of www.dreamingof.net I will select all the wonderful things I see and admire.
First on the list: the dress of Amanda Wakeley, Spring/Summer 2016 collection. A throwback from the 1990’s, Amanda Wakeley’s version from the new summer collection is seen in pure silk. The dramatic plunging neckline is juxtaposed by the billowing length. The tie waist adds fluidity to the silk giving the slip dress structure. This delicate and simple piece embodies classic femininity. The designer found the inspiration in neo-futuristic works of the artist and architect Santiago Calatrava.
