To get to Leonard Paris show this October, at Grand Palais, at Paris Fashion Week, was an adventure: we took the wrong line of metro, then we couldn’t find our places because we arrived too late. But the adventure worth it. And this adventure continued on the catwalk, but in a better and colourful way. An adventure in a tropical environment, full of blossoming flowers (the distinctive mark of the brand), tropical plants, gum trees, palms, orchids and hibiscus.
Pink, blue, light green, silver and red: on the eve on its 60th anniversary, Leonard Paris imagines a modern jungle – real or symbolic, urban or leafy, 3.0 or tangible.
This collection “Digital Tropics”, presented by Leonard Paris for Spring/Summer 2017 rethinks flowers, part of the house’s DNA, in a modern manner, redefining them with a new sense of contemporaneity. The pieces unveil a sense of fluidity, between vaporous and sporty, organic and architectural. A varsity jacket, embroidered with honeycomb texture, is worn with the ease of housewear; a parka is reworked in holographic organza, dresses are cut out of pleated silk and contrasted by ribbed edges, bringing a sense of comfort to luxury.
Pink, blue, light green, silver and red: the Leonard Paris trademark is there (as well as it was on Resort collection). On the eve on its 60th anniversary, Leonard Paris imagines a modern jungle – real or symbolic, urban or leafy, 3.0 or tangible. A perfect collection to dream of these rainy days….
