Time traveller: Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2018 collection
It may be the coolest collection of this season. Oh, wait a second! It is the coolest collection of this season. Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2018 outfits represent my ideal of a fashionable but comfortable look:sneakers, shorts and a bit of glitter on top.
The Louis Vuitton pieces could be found on www.louisvuitton.com and in the dedicated stores.
All signs pointed to the medieval times when show-goers were directed to the moat beneath the Louvre Museum, Louvre’s Pavillon de l’Horloge, under the gaze of the Great Sphinx of Tanis. And there, Louis Vuitton has found its own special significance: travel between the past and the present forever joining together as one. The Nicolas Ghesquière’s SS18 show was a wonderful mix of fashion “anachronisms” a dialogue of wardrobes transcending time.
The coats, constructed with abundant brocade and fine embroidery in gold and silver, are worn over some fluid silk pastel boxers, leather trousers and sporty Americana stripes. And (and this is what I loved most) with odd chunky sport shoes. Ghesquière even sent to the runway a top with Stranger Things poster on the front (rumour has it he is a huge fan of the show), a T-shirt with a watch under a long tailed golden vest. Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2018 collection was a continuous up-and-down between centuries, on the soundtrack signed by Woodkid.
