A sexy century: 90th Anniversary Marilyn Monroe exhibition

She was a sexy icon of a century. The sexy icon. The blonde girl with big laugh and (even bigger) dramas put her mark on an entire 20th century. She was, probably, the most acclaimed, loved (and hated), copied and exploited symbol of the Hollywood studios. She was Marilyn Monroe.
The Berlin based galerie hiltawsky will present the exhibition “Marilyn Monroe. 90th Anniversary. A Life in Pictures”.
Between 4th of November 2016 and 14th of January 2017, at galerie hiltawsky, Tucholskystrasse 41, 10117 Berlin.
The group exhibition will showcase more than 70 photographs, including some rare images. Among them are an early photograph of a Valentine’s Day chocolate advertisement, Norma Jeane’s first cover photo for a U.S. magazine (Romance), the legendary “flying skirt” (by Elliott Erwitt and Bernard of Hollywood) for the film “The Seven Year Itch” and very private photographs of Marilyn Monroe with the notable American writer Carl Sandburg by Arnold Newman and images of the legendary pool scene by Lawrence Schiller.
It’s time to remember the blonde girl with a red lips and a big smile. The exhibition “Marilyn Monroe. 90th Anniversary. A Life in Pictures” will take place between 4th of November 2016 and 14th of January 2017, at galerie hiltawsky, Tucholskystrasse 41, 10117 Berlin, www.hiltawky.com.
