About this book (with texts by Adélia Sabetini and Patrick Mauriės). From 1983, since Karl Lagerfeld came to the House of Chanel, the show were bigger and bolder every year. From pearls over the classical tweed jackets, Chanel fashion world was unveiled in spectacular shows with gigantic iceberg, in a supermarket or a casino, on the legendary sites in Cuba and in some street movement. And the places are quite spectacular, as well: from the Grand Palais to Bombay, Edinburgh, Dallas or Shanghai.
Organized chronologically, the publication opens with a concise history of the brand and a biography of the designer Karl Lagerfeld. Each collection is introduced by a short text describing the collection influences and highlights, illustrated with images with spectacular clothes, accessories beauty looks and set designs.
