Menu à la Monaco

I have to admit that Monaco is one of the few places in the world where I have old habits: I like to eat at the same restaurants, to go to the same club, to stay at the same beach, every year, every spring. But last year I betrayed my my habits, because I have discovered the beautiful place (an inspired mix between lounge, bar, restaurant and… beach) named A’Trego. And, as soon as I entered, I recognize Philippe Starck style. The designer (famous for avantgarde things like the plexi Ghost Chair, the lemon squeezer for Alessi, Steve Jobs’ yacht) combined nautical elements (tec floors, alb and blue furniture). The second floor offers an impressive overview on Mediteraneean sea and the third one “the night cargo” is for private parties. I had some beautiful nights since that first encounter, with exquisite dishes and cool live music. From the menu: scallops, prawns, foie gras and a killer Menton lemon pie. (www.restaurantatrego.com)
