Take a deep breath: presented in a Saffron and Cobalt Blue livery and fitted with a specially designed roof rack, which can accommodate a trunk, a surfboard or a pair of skis, these Classic and Classic Turbo Porsche 911 were reimagined by Singer to the specification envisioned by LV and immediately declares their purpose: these car have been designed for epic journeys.

@porsche, the paradise for car lovers.

It all started with a clock….

Not just any old clock – a detachable mechanical time-piece made by Louis Vuitton. According to Louis Vuitton watch director Jean Arnault, “this unique and remarkable adventure began with a request for a dashboard clock for a car reimagined by Singer. In addition to the design and production of this clock by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton workshops in Switzerland, it quickly became apparent to us that this collaboration with Singer could extend to the personalization of every functional element of the vehicle, enhancing them through our expertise in leather craftsmanship and watchmaking.” In celebration of the Art of Travel, the collaboration extends to personalization throughout both cars, underlining the highest level of craftsmanship, attention to detail and engineering that drives both Houses.

The exterior…

First up is the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, the mainstay of the Singer fleet based on an original Type 964 coupé chassis. Resplendent in LV’s colors of saffron, cobalt blue and yellow, it is joined by a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, a cabriolet model developed with Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, finished in Calcaire Lutétien white. Trimmed in Cognac leather and wood, the two cars offer an outlandishly detailed dive into the design and crafting skills of each company.

 The interior…

Louis Vuitton has, naturally, adorned the interior of the car with its signature: the edges of the door handles feature the same edge-dyeing technique used on Louis Vuitton bags, while the stitching is executed in yellow thread. The diamond-patterned embossing on the seats and the front boot trim, as well as the engine compartment at the rear, echoes the “malletage” motif characteristic of the inside of Louis Vuitton trunks. To ensure comfort for the driver and passenger, the seats are fitted with ventilation eyelets. Each one crafted and finished by hand, they bear the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram flower designs; a motif that also appears on the sun visor and headrests, echoing the windscreen. The plastic fittings found in a typical car interior have been replaced throughout by hand-crafted components made from premium, natural materials. Even the keys receive bespoke treatment. A folder sized for six keys opens to reveal a Louis Vuitton x Singer stamp. And of course, the luggage is custom-fitted to the car! LV Style trunks.
