A beauty brand with a soul: interview with the founder of SACRA Cosmetics

Less is better. Not only in fashion and in every day life, but even when it comes to skincare. I met Georgiana Laura Florincuta, the founder (and the soul) of SACRA brand a few weeks ago, at the international launch of her line of cosmetics. And I was impressed by the story – the quest for the best ingredients (not only natural, but balanced with some scientifically discoveries and facts), the philosophy that stays behind the brand – the Transylvanian traditions, the infinity spiral that appeared for centuries on sacred sites and items. Therefore, I wanted to know more about the brand (born in England, with Romanian soul & roots) and I talked to Laura, the founder, about skincare routine, the importance of good ingredients and what is next for the brand.

The SACRA collection brings four complementary formulas, designed to support the complete skin cycle: daytime protection, nighttime regeneration, lipid repair and controlled renewal. Plant extracts rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants are combined with biomimetic peptides, hyaluronic acid, coenzyme Q10 and 4% glycolic acid.

Your first love story with the beauty world was related to…
My mother – the way she cared for herself with softness, intention, and love. Nature was always part of her ritual. And my grandmother, who created her own recipes for glowing skin: rose water, fresh plants, simple ingredients, all made with love. For me, beauty started there, in nature, in touch, in quiet rituals filled with love. That was my first understanding of what beauty truly is.

The first moment that you thought to create this line of cosmetics was…
When I felt completely overwhelmed by too many products – unnecessary, complicated, and taking my time and energy in the wrong direction. I don’t believe in being dogmatic about skincare. For me, everything should feel easy and light. That’s why with SACRA, we focus on simplifying your life, not complicating it.

SACRA means…
… sacred. It’s about treating your skin with care, intention, and love. Coming back to simplicity, to what truly matters, and turning skincare into a ritual that connects you with yourself.

The biggest mistake we can do in skincare is…
Making it too complicated. Using too many products, following trends, and forgetting to listen to your own skin. Skin needs simplicity, not pressure. Use your creativity for something else, and find a brand you truly value and trust. Be careful what you choose the way skincare is made matters. What you put on your skin every day is like food – eat clean. Clean food, clean skincare, clean thoughts, clean actions.

The most important thing in the skincare routine is…
Keeping it simple and being consistent. Not doing too much, just doing the right things every day. But more than anything, it’s about ritual – the way you give love to yourself, the way you look at your skin, the patience and kindness you have for yourself. And when you add a clean, natural, precious brand like SACRA to that… that’s where the magic happens.

3 reasons that SACRA are THE products to put on our skincare agenda…
Because they are intelligent, potent essentials.
Because they are clean, harmless, and truly supportive for your skin.
Because they are made with a lot of love and care.

The most special ingredient used in the composition is…
For me, it’s not just one ingredient – it’s the intention behind everything. Clean, carefully selected ingredients that work in harmony, respecting the skin and supporting it in a gentle but powerful way. That balance is what makes it special.

Next step for SACRA is…
To build something people truly trust, not just use. To always stay true to our core values – never compromising on quality or respect. To build beautiful relationships with our customers and keep learning from them. And to create something truly sacred, something a mother can pass on to her daughter… exactly like my mother did for me, and her mother for her.
