3 new artists in an interesting exhibition

I love to discover new artists and I never miss the opportunity to meet them in person. Therefore, “Trei” (“Three”), the exhibition held at AnnArt Gallery in Bucharest was an interesting and refreshing stop for me last week. Andreea Albani, Andrei Mateescu and Constantin Rusu: their 12 art works (painting and photography) compose an eclectic and fluid exhibition. I admired the urban photography triptych of Andrei Mateescu and his attempt to re-create the grey landscape of grey buildings in Bucharest integrated in an island of green. I was very touched by the scientific poetry found in Andreea Albani huge paintings; and I was very happy to find out that one of her works was sold with success in London, after she participated at Summer Exhibition of Royal Art Academy in London. Last, but not the least, I couldn’t miss the layers of colors and panels encoding symbols of life and death, good and bad, light and dark, used by Constantin Rusu.

The exhibition at AnnArt Gallery is open until 25th of August, from Monday to Saturday, 11 to 19. AnnArt Gallery, 39, Paris street, Bucharest, www.annartgallery.ro
