Hello, summer! CHANEL presents sunglasses capsule collection

If I could take only one fashion item on an island with me, that, for sure, it would be a pair of sunglasses. If possible, in a nice happy colour. Like the ones in the recent CHANEL capsule collection of eyewear: two sunglasses frames available in four colour.

I have only a problem: I don’t know if I should choose, for my face shape, an oval or a butterfly frame (both adorned with a floral motif in a tribute to the sixties). Leaving the deserted island apart, these sunglasses fit perfectly with a pair of jeans and a cool T-shirt or with a fluid silk dress.

The details of teh capsule collection? The colours of the sunglasses are printed on translucent acetate, soft and bright: palettes of pinks or fresh blues, blends of amber and brown or grey and green. Gradated lenses match the colours of the frames. Two versions come with polarised lenses, selected for their highly protective and anti-reflective capacities, as well as the comfort they provide.

For the most exquisite outfits: try a pair from The Bijou 2016 CHANEL Eyewear Collection. For the fourth edition, it’s the turn of the camellia – Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite flower – to be the inspiration. Presented during the Métiers d’art Paris in Rome 2015/16 show last December, the four sunglasses frames are ultra-feminine and extra-large: cat-eye – very angular or rounded – maxi-square and retro butterfly. Camellias are crafted in mainly gold metal, but also in silvery and ruthenium shades. Every pair of glasses in the Bijou 2016 collection is stamped with a hallmark, in the shape of a metal seal.
