Love the future again: my experience at C&A show for Spring/Summer 2023 collection

The beautiful scenery of Barcelona, a lot of cool clothes, nice people and a show that surprised me from every angle: these were the main features of the launch of C&A Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Add to that a very interesting location – the Codorníu Winery, one of the greatest masterpieces of modernist art in the world with years of history. Well, yes, I know, I was lucky to see last months, at first hand, the C&A show for Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

I’ve never thought that I could fall in love with a purple suit. Or a red dress. You know me, black and white are my favourite colours. 🙂 But still, I caught myself putting a heart icon next to some colourful items of C&A Spring/Summer 2023 collection which I was lucky to see in a beautiful show in Barcelona. Fortunately – for me, at least, the new collection is mainly based on natural fabrics and colours; ultra-calm shades of white, sand and cream predominate. I have some favourites, though, and I will present them below.

The most important features of SS2023 C&A collection are…

  • The new collection named “Love the future again” is focusing on timeless and affordable clothing and offers an effortless, fashionable, and versatile wardrobe for the everyday life.
  • The collection is mainly based on natural fabrics and colours based on three macrotrends: Nature, Empowerment and Universal Healing.
  • “This collection reflects what our consumers expects from us”, says Giny Boer, CEO C&A Europe, “I am very proud to see our new handwriting in the design come to life.”
  • Cotton, voile and linen are the main fabrics used to provide softness in combination with other more structured fabrics such as twill for suits and trench coats.
  • And as for colours, ultra-calm shades of white, sand and cream predominate, while bright purple, red and fuchsia appear in some garments.

The Spring/Summer 2023 collection is following the new direction the brand took in September with the launch of a new brand campaign. C&A will continue offering quality, affordable clothing and going forward focus on effortless, more fashionable, and versatile wardrobe for the everyday routine.
