A new French crush: Léa Peckre
For this fall inspiration, she played with volumes, added pleats and flaps on the front of the trousers and designed jackets with defined shoulders: Léa Peckre definitely is one designer to watch for the next seasons. And you shouldn’t forget that: she was one of the winners of ANDAM prize (National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts) this year.
Léa Peckre associates sculptural volumes and soft materials, combines graphics and light effects, merges rigidity and lightness. For this Fall/ Winter 2015/2016 collection, she chose to start with with sombre colors inspired from masculine suits in woolen fabrics, she mixed and matched materials (wool, denim, silk) and shapes.
Léa Peckre studied at the Ecole de la Cambre in Brussels a Bachelor & Master of Fashion Design. Before launching her own label, Léa Peckree has worked at Givenchy, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Isabel Marant. Today, Léa Peckre is one of Paris’ most exciting and intriguing young designers. In 2013, Léa Peckre founded her brand and showed her women ready-to-wear collection during Paris Fashion Week since 2014. (www.leapeckre.com)
