Fashion Film Festival in Paris

Presented by Diane Pernet and Le Centre Pompidou, A Shaded View On Fashion Film returns in its 8th edition, known internationally as “Le Festival international du film de mode”. In this year’s competition (between 2nd and 6th of December, at Centre Pompidou in Paris, there will be 80 short films.
This year’s festival will feature French haute couture fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier as the guest of honor and president of the jury, along with Iris Van Herpen, Nicolas Godin, and Colin McDowell. A Carte Blanche Session will be dedicated to him, hosted by journalist and critic Elisabeth Quin. Gaultier is renowned in the fashion film industry for his artistic talent in Luc Besson’s “The Fifth Element”, Pedro Almodovar’s “The Skin I Live In”, and Marc Caro’s and Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s “The City of Lost Children”.
A Shaded View On Fashion Film propose further thematic sessions with many Iris Van Herpen as guests, Nicolas Godin Nicolas Saada, Mathias Kiss, and also documentaries including a special session on the history of the Woolmark label with author Colin McDowell.
